Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination
and life to everything.”

I like this wonderful quote by Plato, in my case Music has always been part of my life and luckily  for all my family music is important too.  I  used to play drums when I was younger and my brother plays the bass and guitar.

Since I was a child I've always been exposed to music, however with the passing years my musical interests have changed a lot.  I remember that when I was 11 years old I listened to a song from Aerosmith called "Hole in my soul" that just blew my mind, and from that moment on started looking for more music. Among my favorite bands are Tool, deftones, in High school I loved grunge like pearl jam and smashing pumpkins,tc.) and I'm really lucky to say that I have seen most of my favorite bands live, whenever they come to Chile I always go to the concerts.
The most amazing one I've ever seen was Roger Waters "The Wall" in 2012, It was so overwhelming.
I also love film soundtracks, some of them are Ennio Morricone who came to chile in 2013 with Mike Patton (Mondo Cane) it was a wonderful concert I had the opportunity to see, there is also Jon Brion who composed songs for a movie I like a lot  "Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind"  and my favorite one, Danny Elfman, he has composed soundtracks for movies like: Big Fish, and Edward Scissorhands among many others. I can say that I'm a big fan of movies and music plays a relevant role there.
I also enjoy quiet music. I think that Sigur ros is one of those bands that helps me relax, and similar to this Post Rock style I listen to are "God is an astronaut" "If these trees could talk" "Explosions in the Sky" etc. And pop is also good, as well as Indie... I don't know, I think that a person can enjoy different types of music depending on their mood, context and stages of their lives.
... And you?... Do you have any favourite band or musician?

Post 8 >> A Subject you've enjoyed studying this semester

Write about your favorite subject this term. Among others, include:

> Name
> Describe what you do in classes
> Mention the main contents you have seen
> Explain why you like the subject

> Word Count: 180
> Make comments on 3 of your patners' posts.

I still remember the subject I enjoyed the most when I studied was Ciclo Vital, this was part of the baccalaureate curriculum the first two years of university. This subject was about psychology in students'  learning process. Among the topics I can remember, some of the most interesting where connected with the brain, and how it works when learning a new language. We also learned about the stages within the learning process, differences between teaching children and adults and the most suitable techniques to be used with them. I think the reason why I liked this subject is because every person learn in a different way, and it is important for teachers to know the mental process students go through at the moment to learn a new language, as well as having a domain in the use of different techniques to address those needs.
Most of the classes where expository, Verónica was an excellent teacher because explained very well, besides her classes where entertaining due to the use of visual support and interesting situations to be analyzed  in classes. For these reason I could say that it became my favorite subject at university, I know this subject was not directly connected with English like the use grammar, It was rather focused in the learning process itself  and how to improve my teaching which in my opinion was a lot more interesting.

I still remember my first Atari, my dad brought it home when I was about 6 years old and I loved it, I used to  play Pac-man and another game where you had to shoot a spacecraft. A few years later we (my brother and I) received a Nintendo, so we discovered the fantastic world of Super Mario Bros; the console had other three hundred games incorporated, seriously... it had too many games from which I can only remember "contra".
Later on my little brother got a Play Station where we played a lot of games, but my favorite one was Crash Bandicoot, I got kind of addicted to it during a summer and I turned very good at it, specially in the Wall of China stage.
I knew that a new version of this game was released this year but only for PS3, I would love to play it again and see if I still good at this video game but I don't have a Play Station now. About four years ago I bought a Wii U because I wanted to play Mario Kart and I'm very happy with my inversion because I've enjoyed a lot playing Mario Word and Donkey Kong with my friends and specially with my brother, I like to play with him because even though we don't live together any longer and we are adults now, we still sharing things like this that remind me of our childhood.
